Gambhir Is True To His Name

Gambhir is true to his name. He is a serious player. He has done consistently for India in both forms of the game since 2007. He was the highest scorer of the tournament and the Player of the series in 2007 T20 WC. He plays like a rock and stands like a wall on the pitch, just like Rahul Dravid. His technique is foolproof and there is nothing the bowler can do to breach his defence. India have got an opener like him after a long time since Manoj Prabhakar and Navjot Sidhu. He is a high-rate scorer in the ODI too. When he is going, he is difficult to stop and is a fearsome batter. He was chosen in the Indian team after a long period of consistent high scores in the first class level. He was the premiere batsman of India A team and under his leadership the India A team did very well in a lot of tournaments. Sandeep Patil who was the coach of India A team at that time had a lot of praise for him. He has a lot of strokes in his armour and is a delight to watch. India have huge expectations from him in the WC and we are confident that he will stand firm on our expectations.
